1) Thanks for opposing Betsy DeVos in the HELP Committee

2) Continue doing all you can to block Steve Mnuchin and Tom Price in the Finance Committee.  Their answers to the Committee members’    questions don’t give enough information.

3) Block DeVos, Mnuchin and Price AND ALSO Jeff Sessions and Scott Pruitt on the Senate floor.

Ask for vote against Sessions, Pruitt, DeVos, Mnuchin and Price when their nominations get to the floor.

Gardner is on the Committee on Energy & Natural Resources.  Ask him to agree that we've worked too hard for new protections on our air, water and climate to let Pruitt dismantle them.

Senators who were silent on the immigration/refugee ban:
Here is a spreadsheet with silent senators names, Twitter handles, and where and when their families immigrated from:

GREEN - Senators who OPPOSED THE BAN - send them a thank you or 'good job' tweet. Yes, even Cory Gardner.
RED - Senators who supported or were silent on the ban. Go ahead and ask Ted Cruz (@SenTedCruz) what his Cuban immigrant father would think about the ban. Or what Pat Toomey's ancestors from Portugal and Ireland would say about their treatment as immigrants to America.

Despair is okay, so long as you keep moving forward and marching on...

I know we're all hungry for action, and what will come from the Women's March is slowly taking shape. In the meantime - THE MOST BASIC STRATEGY is "block, block, block."

I KNOW it feels like nothing is working - but what is unfolding in the White House is something for which the ground work was laid long ago. Keep moving forward, keep marching on.

We have to trust that the fruits of our labor will yield something we can be proud of, even if it's not immediately evident. Please keep calling, letter writing, emailing, and showing up. Don't lose faith or steam. WE CAN AND WILL TAKE BACK THIS BEAUTIFUL NATION.
