Colorado at Work

Since the Women's March on Denver, the people of Colorado have been busy writing letters, calling representatives and marching in their home towns to demand that there is accountability in government, that science be taken seriously and the acknowledgement that climate change is real. There have been countless community meetings, millions of dollars donated, and over 10,000 women that have decided to run for political office nation wide. Things are changing and people are coming together like never before!

March on Colorado is proud to have helped facilitate some pretty cool community connections and contributions since that historic day in January, 2017.
  • March on Colorado meetings brought together a group of women who started weekly silent vigils at the Capitol every Wednesday, as well as numerous other activist groups
  • Sponsored "A Day Without a Woman" which was a women's strike in honor of International Women's Day
  • Represented our organization at the Frank Shorter Race for Kids and passed out over 100 free children's books
  • Participated in the Tax March on April 22nd and collected signatures on cards welcoming Syrian Refugees to Denver. We also raised money and bought school supplies for these refugee families.
  • Packed up hundreds of non-gmo bee-friendly wildflower seed packets and passed them out at the Climate March in the middle of a spring snow storm (bragging rights!)
  • We helped judge a science fair!
  • Meetings, potlucks and countless emails...oh my!
  • On May 20th we will be collaborating with other state organizers to make sure we continue to support each other
